Congratulations! I work for a Jason's Deli in Texas. As a new hire I have experienced a welcoming atmosphere that examples with team leadership. April is the general manager of the location, who has tirelessly demonstrated patience with a curteous, professional understanding that educates well in culinary arts during the probationary ninety day hire period I am experiencing. Alex is the location manager that offers leadership support with educational demonstration in culinary arts enrichment while giving detail oriented focus to communication facilitation among assisting management, team leaders and associates, whose primary focus is problem solving given the nature of communication assisting management Brittany is receiving from French position. My first day Brittany was introduced to me by day shift French position as a b*tch, in front of management which soured the atmosphere and resulted in my assessing the nature of the environment for personal safety and security leaving me appalled at the tolerance for such language in such a nice kitchen. I remained understanding and supportive with teamwork as the enthusiasm diminished resulting in patient empathy to facilitate my understanding. Brittany tolerates the foul language and yelling from French position on evening shift as well. Tonight she was yelled and cussed at in manner that was disturbing by French position 7/15/23. Both individuals are impressive with their food presentation, ability to promptly prepare orders with ease and are patient and supportive in attitude towards me showing professionalism in culinary arts that is in demand while being positive influences demonstrating leadership skills. I have not yet brought it to the attention of general management as the issue is delicate and sensitive in nature and noticing how hands on Brittany has been reaching out to touch one's apron around the neck I hesitate to mention as the resulting behaviors may be a result of individualized learning styles of the French position employees, however I feel that the situation needs to be on record so it is noted if customer complaint results that the dedicated work ethic of the French position employees demonstrated is taken into consideration. While I do not feel the industry standard Jason's Deli sets allows for cussing or yelling, as it prevents employees from communicating effectively, if management allows that and doesn't document incident, give write up, formal explination, as no warning was given within witness and incident occurs then the leadership is not teamwork and limits training education. The nature of the experience is shocking and limits my ability to learn making job stability the focus and as a retaliatory measure I have been repeatedly told to do tasks I was already performing and redirected to other tasks before the task I was focused on was finished by Brittany which leaves me empathetic to her situation and understanding, supportive and redirected focusing on teamwork to ensure personal safety. Before general management is notified I feel she should be briefed and the situation directed to whomever can oblige with authority. I am enjoying this amazing opportunity that provides a living wage, otherwise wholesome environment and hope to succeed past the ninety day probationary period. C and P is my favorite position as I enjoy the hospitality it offers the customers and focusing on the service I provide. In order to learn what all the food is it is going to take patience, understanding and encouragement from management but with what has resulted the focus has now become a matter for corporate to consider. I feel that French position employees would benefit from continued employment, training and thorough understanding with further skill set assessment and continued education. Thank you so much for the time, opportunity and understanding.
